These are the instructions for downloading and installing Update-5. This is an old update. We recommend that you install the most recent update. You do not need to install this update as well.

This update requires the following files:

Download Sitecore CMS 6.0.0 Update rev.081009 package (Sitecore CMS 6 package, 2.8 Mb)

To install the update on an existing Sitecore CMS 6.0.0 installation, follow these instructions:

Backup the site.
Install the update package using the Installation Wizard available via the Sitecore desktop link Sitecore » Development Tools » Installation Wizard. Choose "Overwrite All" when prompted.
Stop IIS.
Update web.config file. See the web.config changes page for details.
Start IIS.
